Do I need a Skipper's Ticket? No. You receive a lesson on arrival
What qualification do I need? A current Drivers Licence
Is it easy to drive? Yes. Controls are simply forward/reverse. Speed is governed.
Is it safe?

Yes. The lesson is supervised and practical with an approved Safety
brief. Safety equipment is on-board along with First Aid Kits.

Am I contactable? Yes. 2-way radio (next G phones have reception on the river)
Where can I go? 30km of pristine National Park up to Alexandra Bridge
Where do I stop?

You will moor up at any of our hand picked Moorings.

Houseboats do not tie off to the banks.

My Group has 2 houseboats Some moorings are close together for this purpose
May I moor in town? In the dinghy only. Houseboats are not permitted at the town jetty
What if I run out of supplies?

Molloy Caravan Park has a small kiosk for bait, fuel, and basic
grocery items. We also offer a delivery service for a $20.00 surcharge.

What to bring?

Fishing gear, food, drinks, bathers, dvd's, music, binoculars, books & sunscreen

What to do?

Fish, bushwalk, swim, bird-watch, star-gaze, wildflowers or crabs in-season

Where do I leave my car? Base has ample secure parking
Late arrivals?

4pm is the cut off to get you up the river. You will moor on the jetty or at Westbay mooring & receive your lesson the following morning

Fuel

Houseboats tanks are full at commencement of hire. Costs are
calculated at $20 per engine hour (not per engine). Average trip is
approximately six hours.

The Dinghy Safety - Oars are onboard. Use the lifejackets.

Fuel - ULP. Full to begin. Get more from Molloy Caravan Park
Water

Drinking - houseboats carry 1000 ltrs drinking water for all uses
(2000 ltrs on houseboat Allira)

Usage - All water is stored on board. Conservative use will give you
3 - 4 days then you must return to Base for servicing.

Power Solar with battery backup. Give your
hair a holiday and leave your hairdryer at home!
