What we are about...
Blackwood River Houseboats is a family business, based in the beautiful Margaret River region of Western Australia's South West.
Pam Winter and James Austin moved to West Bay, Augusta and set up their business in 2001. The unique location in a National Park. That meant they had to create an off-grid, eco sensitive Base camp.
Their houseboats are named after their children and this personal touch stems across to the personal care they take when preparing your houseboat holiday.
We believe in enjoying the outdoors, recharging your batteries and getting back to nature in comfort. All our boats have a fully equipped kitchenette, flushing toilet, heated shower, heating, 100% cotton Sheridan sheets, beach towels, outdoor deck, BBQ and fish scaling station.
We want our guests to have a great holiday, so we provide kayaks, stand up paddle boards, motorised dinghy, contacts for bespoke discounted tours, bird species books and orchid books all free of charge.
The lower Blackwood River is an iconic location for skiing, wake boarding, fishing, kayaking, wildflowers and wildlife. Book your next eco adventure holiday with us now.
All our boats come with a powered dinghy, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and life jackets for children - all upon request. Just pack your food, drink, fishing rods and adventurous spirit.
